The International Joint Symposium was celebrated at Pathein University on the 26^th and 27^th of September 2019. In collaboration with Japan’s Hokkaido University, in total there were 243 papers presented by Myanmar participants, including attendees from Pathein University plus other universities and colleges under the Higher Education Department. Papers were presented at Pathein University’s Convocation Building on the 26^th of September 2019. Following that, on the 27^th of September 2019, some symposium participants also travelled to the beach area of Magyi and Shwe Thaung Yan township where there is a Marine Science Research Facility and Training Cam, and also visited the paddy fields of Myaungmya.
